The Rest of the Story…

In early 2020, three friends—Kat, Stephen, and Amalia—met for coffee and discovered a shared passion: a spark to make creativity a driving force in our individual and collective lives. From that simple yet powerful conversation, a mission was born: to transform society by fostering creativity in every soul.

A few months later, the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe, disrupting lives and collapsing the creative industries. Undeterred, the trio faced the challenge of building a business plan rooted in personal connection during a time of social distancing. Out of this adversity, a vision took shape: three interconnected offerings designed to “shift the needle” and position the arts at the heart of society.

  1. Spark.Place Network: A series of “third spaces” that inspire community, comfort, and creativity.
  2. Creative Capacity Curriculum: A program to help industries develop the creative potential of their workforce.
  3. Arts Incubator: A platform empowering creatives to grow their businesses and become changemakers in society.

Today, we’re laying the foundation for this vision. The Spark.Place network is under development, and the curriculum is in its pilot phase. As these efforts grow into sustainable ventures, they will help establish a non-profit organization dedicated to programming that further amplifies creativity’s role in shaping the future. A board will soon be selected to guide this exciting journey.

Together, we’re sparking change—one creative step at a time.
